In 2023, Policy Area Innovation actively contributed to the implementation of the 1^st call of Interreg South Baltic programme through bilateral support and consultations with PA Innovation related project developers. The following four projects supported by / under PA INNO were approved in the call in Summer 2023: COmpeteNceS - Inclusive Digital grEen tRAnsformaTION; AquaLoop: Aquaculture expert floor for circular economy practice; T.A.B - Innovation Hubs for Tech, Art and Business; AMBer: Advanced Models in Baltic e-Cancer care.

PA Innovation contributes to the dissemination of the projects’ results in EUSBSR and BSR networks and to other EU macro-regional strategies, as well as through policy dialogue with and support from the PA Innovation steering group. PA Innovation also contributes to exploring of synergies and exchange opportunities between the projects and other related BSR/EUSBSR projects and projects under other EU macro-regional strategies.
