Nutrient recycling in the Baltic Sea Region – PA Nutri Talks 23 September 2024
A significant challenge across various sectors, including agriculture, wastewater treatment, and industry, is the safe and cost-efficient recycling of nutrients. This complex issue involves many facets, which were discussed during the PA Nutri Talks – Nutrient Recycling in the Baltic Sea Region event on September 23, 2024.
Presentations highlighted the need for further development in logistical and safety solutions, as well as a systemic analysis of nutrient flows within individual farms or neighbouring farms. Project presentations covered projects funded through Horizon, Interreg Baltic Sea Region and Interreg Central Baltic -programmes, as well as Finnish national funds. The event addressed the need for enhanced cooperation within the Baltic Sea Region. Participants emphasized the importance of exchanging experiences between countries and sharing information about ongoing activities.
