Future Cities Forum in Glücksburg on 17 November 2026: Exploring new ways to make cities more liveable and resilient through culture, civic engagement and the activation of urban spaces.
On 17 November, the first Future Cities Forum invites local authorities and urban practitioners from across the Baltic Sea Region working in culture, public engagement, urban development and the (re-)activation of urban spaces to Glücksburg (Cultural Pearl 2026) to exchange experiences and explore ways to engage communities in shaping more liveable and resilient cities.
The forum is organised by the Future Cities Platform and will provide an opportunity for participants from the different project networks (BSR Cultural Pearls, Liveability, NEB-STAR, CCI4Change and many more) to forge practical connections and learn from each other.
The full programme, registration details and practical information will be shared shortly.
A transfer from Hamburg to Glücksburg on 16 November and from Glücksburg to Hamburg on 18 November will be organised.
Following the Future Cities Forum, participants can also attend the InnoCulture Conference, taking place in Hamburg on 18–19 November 2026 under the theme New Spaces for Culture.

The Future Cities Platform is funded by Interreg Baltic Sea Region (Operation of Strategic Importance, 2026–2028). It consolidates the networks and results of 12 projects to strengthen urban resilience through civic engagement and public space activation.
