EUSBSR at the European Week of Regions and Cities

EU Strategy for the Baltis Sea Region support unit hosts a political debate with the CPMR Baltic Sea Commission, and has a stand in the exhibition area together with the other EU macro-regional Strategies.

Fit for purpose: EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region promotes more resilient, competitive and decarbonised region, Monday 12 October at 16:30 – 18:00 CET

The better we work together across borders, levels and sectors, the stronger we are to address challenges in the Baltic Sea Region and tap the full potential of this strategic area. The EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region facilitates territorial cooperation and the effective use of resources across the borders. The seminar will discuss with representatives from the EU, national and regional levels how the newly updated Action Plan (2026) aggregates the needs and challenges of states, cities, and regions across the Baltic Sea Region. The Action Plan sets the direction for transnational cooperation and overall enables the development of a competitive and resilient macro-region.

The session is organised together with the CPMR Baltic Sea Commission.

The European Week of Regions and Cities is the biggest annual Brussels-based event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union Cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.
