Catch Up on eMSP NBSR Results: Publications and Podcast Now Available
Results of the project Emerging ecosystem-based Maritime Spatial Planning topics in North and Baltic Sea Regions are now available

The eMSP NBSR project, implemented from September 2021 to February 2024, provided a platform for marine spatial planners and other experts to collaboratively advance Maritime Spatial Planning practice. It addressed five urgent emerging Maritime Spatial Planning topics through a community of practice-based approach that enabled joint learning across professions and across the North Sea and Baltic Sea areas. Furthermore, cross-cutting themes of climate change and European Green Deal were considerably evaluated in all work done in the project. In a nutshell, topics, reasoning and working method of the project is summarised in short video.
Policy briefs on Maritime Spatial Planning related topics of Ocean governance, Ecosystem-based approach, Good Environmental Status, Monitoring and Evaluation, Data Sharing, Sustainable Blue Economy, Multi-use, European Green Deal, Climate Change and Climate-neutrality targets as the final results and recommendations of the project were delivered in January 2024. And broader discussion took place at the project’s final conference. At the same time gained momentum allowed to popularise findings among broader stakeholders for that the “Oysters with a pearl” podcast series presenting the key outcomes of the eMSP NBSR project, were prepared and now are available here.
