Webinar on Food Tourism in the Baltic Sea Region: recording and materials now available!

We are delighted to share that the Food Tourism in the Baltic Sea Region webinar, jointly organised by the EUSBSR Policy Area Tourism and the Interreg Baltic Sea Region BASCIL project, was a resounding success and now all the materials are available for you! This insightful online event, held on 19 November 2025, brought together 100 passionate practitioners, experts, and regional entrepreneurs to explore how local heritage, innovation, and sustainability intersect in food tourism across the Baltic Sea Region.

The webinar underscored how food tourism in the Baltic Sea Region can drive sustainable destination development, strengthen local economies, and weave together heritage, innovation, and community. The presentations showcased how BASCIL project helped small-scale food producers develop their businesses in the direction of tourism by offering farm experiences, tastings, workshops, and other activities. This shortens value chains and creates new, sustainable sources of income.

We believe the knowledge shared during the webinar has broad value for anyone interested in food tourism, including producers, destination managers, policymakers, and tourism professionals.
