By ferry
There is one shipping company connecting Gotland with mainland Sweden – Destination Gotland. Destination Gotland provides ferry services from two mainland ports: Nynäshamn, 60 km south of Stockholm, and Oskarshamn. The passage takes 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Nynäshamn offers ferry connections to Ventspils in Latvia and Gdańsk in Poland. The route from Ventspils is operated by Stena Line and the route from Gdańsk by Polferries.

By plane
Visby airport offers flights to both Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Stockholm Bromma Airport. SAS operates flights to Arlanda Airport, and BRA operates flights to Bromma Airport. Bromma Airport also offers connections to Helsinki and Malmö, which can be relevant for participants traveling from Finland or Denmark.
Transportation in Visby
Taxi is the most convenient mode of transportation from the airport to the centre of Visby and the forum venue. The journey takes 10 minutes and costs approximately 20 EUR. From the ferry terminal, it is just a 10-minute walk to Visby centre and the venue.
Transfers to and from the airport have been arranged for some flights. For arrivals on 28 October with SAS or BRA from Stockholm/Arlanda or Stockholm/Bromma at 18.15 and for arrivals on 29 October via SAS from Stockholm/Arlanda at 17.15, buses will be waiting outside the arrival hall. These buses will transport passengers to downtown Visby, stopping at Wisby Strand in the city centre with just a short walk to the hotels.
On 31 October at 15:30, buses will depart from Wisby Strand to the airport for SAS and BRA flights departing to both Stockholm/Arlanda and Stockholm/Bromma at 16:25.
