New reports are out now!
- Road maps to provide green energy for transport chains starting/ending in ports.
- The output contains two road maps for implementing green fuel bunkering, fueling and charging strategies. The purpose of the road maps is to serve as blueprint/guideline to other port authorities when implementing similar strategies to other stakeholder.
- Improved green transport chains through demonstrated stakeholder cooperation.
- This report is a comprehensive strategic and technical roadmap for maintaining and modernising the Rostock–Trelleborg rail ferry link. More than a simple service review, it is a detailed case study of how cross-border collaboration, infrastructure investment, market engagement, and green innovation can come together to preserve a critical transport corridor in Europe.
- Manual for electrification process of port operations (RTGs & OPS)
- This report consists of two manuals to decarbonise terminal handling operations: (1) Process documentation for the technical retrofitting of a gantry crane in Gdynia Container Terminal – Port of Gdynia example | (2) Flexible Onshore Power Supply system for small ships – Port of Skagen example.

The future of S-100 in the Baltic Sea Starts with the Baltic Sea e-Nav project. A successful rollout of the new e-navigation era requires a seamless and coherent user experience across borders. To meet this need, hydrographic offices, meteorological institutes, academia, and maritime technology providers around the Baltic Sea have joined forces in the Interreg Baltic Sea Region project, Baltic Sea e-Nav.
Baltic Sea e-Nav is dedicated to modernizing digital navigation tools and aligning them with the latest international standards, enabling national authorities and maritime organizations to ensure safer, more harmonized, and eco-efficient navigation in the Baltic Sea region. The outcome will be the launch of the Baltic Sea e-Nav base package which will contain S-101 ENC, S-102 Bathymetric Surface, S-104 Water Levels and S-111 Surface Currents.
The project is implemented between November 2023 and October 2026 with a total budget of €4.88 million, of which €3.91 million is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
And here’s the YouTube Link.
The future of safe and efficient navigation on the Baltic Sea is now, as the three Interreg Baltic Sea Region projects ORMOBASS, MaDaMe and Baltic Sea e-Nav are shaping the essential cornerstones of e-navigation in the Baltic Sea region and beyond. Each project addresses complementary challenges of the IMO e-navigation strategy to increase safety and efficiency at sea:
- ORMOBASS focuses on providing reliable navigation information using the terrestrial navigation system R-Mode and a GNSS interference detection system.
- MaDaMe concentrates on developing and piloting new digital services for information sharing and messaging, based on the IHO S-100 framework.
- Baltic Sea e-Nav works towards developing the next-generation of S-100 compliant navigation products and harmonization of the products across borders.
The Baltic Sea is one of the world’s busiest and most sensitive seas. The projects bring together stakeholders from the maritime sector and work with them to implement cross-border solutions for safe and efficient maritime transport in the Baltic Sea of the future.
We invite you to attend our joint project seminar on December 3rd 2025, at the Danish Royal Library in Copenhagen or online. Take this opportunity to explore the transformation that has begun and participate in discussions with our project experts.
