Interreg NPA launches the first Youth Call

The Interreg Northern Periphery and Arctic (NPA) Programme is officially launching its first Youth Call.
The Youth Call aims to support youth-led ideas and initiatives that address key challenges and opportunities in the NPA area, including sustainable development, climate resilience, innovation, inclusion, and community wellbeing.
By placing young people at the centre of project development and implementation, the call encourages meaningful youth participation and long-term regional impact.
“The Youth Call is about giving young people hands-on experience with transnational cooperation, equipping them with practical tools to work together across different countries to shape the future of their regions,” said Kirsti Mijnhijmer Head of the Interreg NPA Secretariat. “We want to support their creativity, energy, and commitment by turning ideas into concrete solutions with lasting impact.”
What is special about this call?
This call is different: it is simpler, more flexible and more accessible for small organisations and groups working closely with youth, whether or not they have previous experience with Interreg.
The Youth Call encourages applications from across the Northern Periphery and Arctic regions. Projects duration can be 6, 12 or 18 months depending on their scope. All applicants will receive tailored support, including mentoring, and opportunities to engage with the wider Interreg NPA community.
It will be possible to submit applications for the Youth Call from 10th June 2026 until 2nd October 2026.
