Youth Guidance Centres & NEET Services – Baltic Sea Network | Krakow 2026
Kick-off Meeting | Krakow, Poland | 10–12 March 2026
The EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) Policy Area Education invites stakeholders to the kick-off meeting of the Youth Guidance Centres and NEET Services Baltic Sea Network, taking place in Krakow, Poland, from 10 to 12 March 2026.
Across Europe, young people’s labour market conditions have deteriorated since 2008, with persistent challenges for those not in employment, education, or training (NEETs). Youth Guidance Centres – also known as one-stop-shops or resource centres – play a key role in addressing these challenges through person-centred, coordinated support involving public services, employers, and civil society.
Building on EU-supported models and regional experience, Youth Guidance Centres are already operating or expanding in Denmark, Finland, Lithuania, Germany, Poland, and Sweden. This Baltic Sea Network aims to strengthen cooperation, facilitate knowledge exchange, and support capacity building among practitioners and policymakers working with young people furthest from the labour market.
The Krakow meeting will:
- Launch the Baltic Sea Network on Youth Guidance Centres and NEET services
- Enable exchange of good practices and national experiences
- Identify common challenges and capacity-building needs
- Initiate thematic working groups on trust-building, tailored services, employer engagement, team management, and monitoring & evaluation
The programme includes study visits, interactive working groups, and participation in the Career Festival 2026 in Krakow, a long-standing regional event connecting young people, schools, and employers.
