Youth Guidance Centres and NEET Services: workshop and study visit on outreach work

Stockholm, Sweden
10 November 2026 - 12 November 2026

The Baltic Sea Network for Youth Guidance Centres and NEET Services invites its members to a combined workshop and study visit in Stockholm on 10–12 November 2026.

The event will focus on outreach work: how to identify, reach and motivate young people in NEET situations to seek support and take steps towards education or employment. Outreach was identified as a common area of interest within the network during the previous meeting in Krakow.

The City of Stockholm, which has long experience of outreach work with young people, will host the workshop and share practical examples through a series of study visits.

The programme is designed as a peer-learning event, allowing participants to exchange experiences and discuss approaches in smaller groups. The workshop will focus on different groups of young people who may be in NEET situations, including young people with mental disabilities, young people with limited social contacts, and young people directly or indirectly involved in criminality.

The programme also includes presentations on the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region and School to Work, examples of outreach work from participants around the Baltic Sea Region, and three parallel study visits to services and initiatives in Stockholm.

Registration deadline: 10 October 2026. Participation is limited to 50 people, with a maximum of two participants from each organisation, municipality, state agency or ministry.
