Baltic Active Mobility Conference
Welcome to Baltic Active Mobility 2026: Shaping Future Cities! This event will bring together practitioners, experts and decision makers at local, regional and national levels to Gdynia, Poland. Together we will explore how active mobility and strong Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs) can shape healthier, more resilient and future-ready cities.

The conference will combine strategic debate with practical exchange and peer learning, creating space for both political dialogue and hands-on insights. The programme includes high-level panel discussions, that will cover large topics like the role of sustainable mobility in reaching the climate and environmental goals and improving the quality of life. Keynote contributions will address EU goals for sustainable mobility and global progress on national active travel policies.
The event is organised by the Interreg Baltic Sea Region projects SUMPs for BSR and BATS, supporting cities in accelerating the transition towards active and sustainable urban mobility. The practical solutions for active mobility and SUMP, developed within these projects will also be introduced in the conference.
The week will start on 7 September with the UBC Sustainable Cities Commission meeting, offering UBC member cities and other interested municipalities & organisations the opportunity to exchange perspectives, shape joint priorities, and influence the future work of the Commission.
